Preparing for the Future will be the theme of NALP and ALFDP’s eighth annual Summit on diversity and inclusion in the legal profession. What will the workforce look like in the future? How will our work change? All of these are questions we will explore as we journey to 2022 with our opening speaker. The Summit will also tackle the future of the legal profession by examining statistics from the American Bar Foundation and the NALP Foundation’s After the JD longitudinal study. In addition, we will hear from experts about religious and cultural diversity, new corporate advancement strategies, and reinventing diversity in the 21st century.
The 2013 Diversity and Inclusion Summit will bring together NALP and ALFDP members, diversity professionals, law firm partners, in-house lawyers, career counselors, legal hiring and training professionals, law school deans, industry consultants, and other legal career professionals who have an interest in continuing to expand diversity and inclusion in the legal profession. The chief purpose of this exciting conference is to provide a forum for a robust exchange of information about the current challenges and innovations surrounding the issues of diversity and inclusion in the legal employment arena. Participants will also enjoy multiple networking opportunities, allowing occasions to connect and share best practices. A welcome reception, speed networking, roundtable discussions, and two meals will offer time to share ideas and connections with others in the profession.
