As part of our ongoing effort to connect our members with some of the offerings of key mission-aligned organizations, ALFDP is pleased to be a community (no-cost) sponsor of the Diversity & Flexibility Alliance’s 2014 Annual Conference: Diversity + Flexibility = Sustainability, to be held on March 18 at the offices of Jones Day in Washington, DC.
The Alliance is a leading consortium dedicated to the advancement and retention of women lawyers and work-life control for all attorneys, and its conference explores the most up-to-date research-based action steps highlighting the intersection of diversity and flexibility. With over 150 expected participants, the conference will bring together general counsel, law firm management, and other legal industry leaders to discuss success strategies to improve attorney retention and promote sustainable organizations.
This year’s conference features keynote speaker, NYU Law Professor Kenji Yoshino, acclaimed author of the book, “Covering: The Hidden Assault on our Civil Rights,” and co-author of the groundbreaking report, “Uncovering Talent: A New Model of Inclusion.” The conference agenda also includes four panel discussions, and the presentation of the Alliance’s Flex Success Award to two outstanding partners working reduced hours schedules, as well as their clients, and its inaugural Flex Leader Award to a law firm chair who has championed flexible work by example.
