Membership is available to any legal professional who actively oversees, manages or administers the diversity and inclusion initiatives of their law firm and who spends 25% or more of their time doing so for firms with 249 attorneys or less and 33% or more of their time doing so for firms with 250 attorneys or more.
Membership is limited to individuals who work in law firms. If a law firm employs more than one diversity professional, all of the professionals may join the organization but they, as a group, are limited to one vote on all matters submitted for a vote to the membership.
The Board of Directors will review each application for membership and will have full discretion to approve or deny applications. Each member is expected to serve on at least one of the Association’s committees (visit our About us section for more information on the committee structure).
IF membership is approved, the Association will invoice your firm for the annual membership dues. For firms which are not current members of ALFDP, the initial annual dues are $1500 for the voting member and $250 for each non-voting member. For firms which are current members of ALFDP, the initial annual dues for each new non-voting member is $250. Annual renewal dues are $500 for the voting member and $250 for each non-voting member.
